The Welsh Rally, 2008

Another very successful rally was held at Manordeilo, about 65 people and lots of wolfhounds and other breeds attended. For the second year in succession the sun shone down on us. Guests were greeted on arrival with a cold glass of Bucks Fizz and Chris & Mandy soon got the games under way with the always popular sausage hunt in the grounds, followed by pass the parcel, and the sack race, all of which were thoroughly enjoyed by dogs and owners alike.

Jan Pain organised the raffle and with her gentle persuasive nature !!! managed to get people to part with a grand total of £80 in raffle ticket sales. This is to be donated to Dr Mike Starkey's IWH cancer research programme at the Animal Health Trust.

The lure coursing got of to a good start with some seasoned coursers and new novices being guided on how to get the best from their hounds by Chris and Gill working the lure control. A number of heats were run and the final took place after lunch; the winner was Stephen & Jo Robert's Tara.
